The Donutron: Homemade Donuts and Homegrown Video Games

Over the past few months I’ve been working on a story about an arcade cabinet called the Donutron which features only games made by Minnesota developers. It finally got published early last week in City Pages and I’m excited for the exposure it can bring to the local game development scene.

Talking to Zachary Johnson and Victor Johnson, whom came up with the idea together, there’s a lot going on in the scene right now on all different levels including VR (Virtual Reality). I look forward to diving into the scene more.

It’s housed at Glam Doll Donuts in Minneapolis, hence the name Donutron, and is free to play.
